Antisocial Society
Lee Byung-Wook

Abstract
It is self-evident that the loss of morality and justice is the ruin of a society. The anti-moral and anti-justice characteristics of antisocial persons reveals personal rupture or collapse. Such people are bent on destroying all rules, ethics, and virtues. They destroy all intimate personal relationships, and pursue evil over virtue, sex and violence over love, attack and rebellion over compliance and loyalty, and self-indulgence and corruption over responsibility. Although many naive persons do not want to accept the truth of the antisocial messages overflowing in our society, it is true that we are already imbued with their negative messages. Of course we do not live in an ideal society like utopia, and it is up to us to strive after an ideal, but antisocial persons do not rebel against their society because of its social absurdities, but because of their distorted personality structures. An antisocial society means a community that is overflowing with antisocial characters and their related messages. It means a society filled with immorality and violence, and effaced from humanity without pertinent loving relationships. If a seemingly well-organized society is not based on the mature integration of love and hate, but filled with only anger and violence, that society can be regarded as an antisocial one, disregarding differences in political systems. We are now preoccupied with sex and money, war and power. And we are at a crisis where the antisocialized messages are overwhelming. But we must overcome the crisis by realizing mutual respect and humanity and reestablishing morality.
